Dear Friends,

It has been a fun week at the winery. I have seen a lot of people from my childhood/high school years. I am so appreciative of their support of Brooks and it brings back SO many fond memories. We had our first summer concert last night. It was a little chilly but so great to hear live music. The team did an excellent job executing the event adhering to all safety protocols.

The June menu is delicious with seasonal offerings and delicious greens in some of the offerings from our gardens. Chef Norma feeds us all so well!

For all of you who shared Riesling Aha moments and/or your Wine Club thoughts, I have not forgotten about you and your gifts will be coming in the next 4 weeks or so! Thank you for your patience!

Oregon State University Family Business 360

A few weeks ago I got an email from a woman at Oregon State University asking if I would be willing to be a guest at their speaker series. OSU has a Center for Family Enterprise. As described by OSU:

“The Center for Family Enterprise excels as a pacesetting resource for family businesses. We foster healthy family businesses through innovative tools, hands-on learning opportunities and honest conversation. We prepare family businesses to address the challenges and opportunities that arise from generation to generation.”

She went on to tell me that 80% of Oregon businesses are family-owned and 95% of the agricultural businesses in the State are family-owned. This Center has been a valuable resource for so many families. They have launched a speaker series that is free to all who are interested. I wanted to invite you to my presentation if is of interest. And, in the small world circle, this woman also told me she worked with Jimi at WillaKenzie…..
