2015 Muska Riesling

The Muska has a nice bitterness like grapefruit segments, with lemon custard and ripe peaches. There is a beautiful floral notes as you exhale, perfume, rose petals and gardenias. I love the complexity in the finish with wet stone, herbs, bright fruit, and exhilarating acidity that leaves the mouth watering. The fruit is ripe and the wineis broad in the mouth and medium to full bodied. Big and powerful, yet with elegance and an ethereal lightness in the high notes.

I would pair this with tomato risotto, white mushrooms and asparagus spears. Would also be beautiful with roasted quail, Dungeness crab or Cod in lemon beurre blanc with meyer lemon. Go crazy! – Chris Blanchard, MS
