Flavor Notes

Brooks has it all — Great story, great people, great wines.

The Crannell always shines, and this vintage is no exception. Rich, layered notes of black cherry, red licorice, pomegranate reduction, and cherry cola give way to a warm and savory charcuterie and cinnamon bark finish.
Sommelier

Pair this stunning Pinot Noir with duck confit in a cherry sauce with potato fondant.
Chef

The 2019 Crannell vineyard Pinot noir, located immediately to the East of our estate, is both elegant and refined, showing off intense notes of dark cherry, red vines licorice and salted caramel. On the palate the wine has a plush entry, plump mid-palate and finishes with crunchy tannins, saucisson and bright red-fruited acidity.

Winemaking Notes
A wet, but warm spring with a few mild frosts during late April and fewer than average heat spikes.
Near-record precipitation amounts during late June and early July brought increased disease pressure to the region.
The vintage will be remembered for the early rains in September and rapid cool down into October which challenged harvesting decisions.
The cool vintage came largely from substantially lower maximum temperatures while minimum temperatures were near average to slightly above average.
