Opulent and rich, this Pinot Noir wraps the palate with warm notes of chocolate-covered raspberries and Chinese Five Spice with a saline sea salt finish.

Flavor Notes

Brooks has it all — Great story, great people, great wines.

A fruit-forward and decadent Pinot Noir with layers of red fruits, cacao and sea salt with refined tannins and a finish that goes on and on.
Sommelier

Pair this Pinot with Peking duck and vegetable lo mein.
Chef

Utterly intriguing and food friendly, the 2019 La Chenaie Pinot noir is bursting at the seams with fresh red fruit - wild strawberries, red raspberries and bing cherries - rounded out by notes of clove oil and star anise. The palate is juicy and acid driven, showing off fine tannins and a quenching salty finish.

Winemaking Notes
A wet, but warm spring with a few mild frosts during late April and fewer than average heat spikes.
Near-record precipitation amounts during late June and early July brought increased disease pressure to the region.
The vintage will be remembered for the early rains in September and rapid cool down into October which challenged harvesting decisions.
The cool vintage came largely from substantially lower maximum temperatures while minimum temperatures were near average to slightly above average.
