Despite the low alcohol, this is not overly sweet, but the searing tartness of past vintages has been moderated here. Lemon, vanilla, sweet pineapple and green apple are all in play, with ample acidity to cut through.”

92 Points - Paul Gregutt, Wine Enthusiast
Notes of orange blossom, peach, nougat, quince, kumquat, nectarine, springtime florals, mint, sea spray, and a lot of salinity with excellent depth and crisp acidity.
Jillian Barnhart
Sommelier
Pair with pan seared halibut with a miso carrot puree and garlic grilled shiitake mushrooms. Serve with a little lemon olive oil micro green salad on top.
Norma Buchholz
Chef
A rich and heady riesling. Orange marmalade, wax, brioche seed way to zesty orange peel, citrus and voluminous body.

Winemaking Notes

A wet, but warm spring with a few mild frosts during late April and fewer than average heat spikes.
Near-record precipitation amounts during late June and early July brought increased disease pressure to the region.
The vintage will be remembered for the early rains in September and rapid cool down into October which challenged harvesting decisions. The cool vintage came largely from substantially lower maximum temperatures while minimum temperatures were near average to slightly above average.
