94 Points | Wine & Spirits - Contracting from Argyle’s main riesling vineyard, Brooks gets fruit from an east-facing block on Jory soils. This wine channels a kind of Eola Hills wildness, flinty from the wind, bright and lemony from the cool temperatures, perhaps even a salinity from the breezes that whip through the Van Duzer corridor. A petrol note and peach-blossom accents lend aromatic complexity. Then it seems to pivot, becoming very dry, very pure and driven, the acidity coursing through the middle and giving the finish a hair-raising vibrancy.

- Patrick J. Comiskey
Deep, balanced, and elegant with mineral-driven notes of slate, crushed rocks, and seashells married with hints of spiced pears, green apples, white flowers and stone fruits. Very poised with razor sharp acidity. The finish just doesn’t stop.
Jillian Barnhart
Sommelier
Enjoy with green papaya salad, fresh ginger, salted peanuts, and butter poached shrimp.
Norma Buchholz
Chef
A stunning Riesling from the Eola-Amity Hills. Peach, cotton candy and apricot give way to citrus, green apple and laser-like acidity and deliciously quenching finish.

Winemaking Notes

A wet, but warm spring with a few mild frosts during late April and fewer than average heat spikes.
Near-record precipitation amounts during late June and early July brought increased disease pressure to the region.
The vintage will be remembered for the early rains in September and rapid cool down into October which challenged harvesting decisions. The cool vintage came largely from substantially lower maximum temperatures while minimum temperatures were near average to slightly above average.
A classic Oregon vintage!
