Flavor Notes

Brooks has it all — Great story, great people, great wines.

The 2019 Oak Ridge Pinot Noir has a beautiful color of brick red and aromas of dried rose petals, a delicate dustiness of minerality, and an undertone of rambutan skins. Upon first sip - there is a burst of fresh crunchy cranberries, tomato leaf notes bring a complexity of depth and lasting acid.
Sommelier

This Pinot Noir will pair perfectly with an osso buco with Milaniase risotto and a black truffle gremolata.
Chef

Dark red plum and forest soil on the nose, lead into raspberry preserve and suede-like tannins on the palate. This high elevation, sub-alpine site is meticulously farmed organically by Tom and Marlene Woodward. It is situated high above the White Salmon Valley in Washington, an idyllic location to grow world-class wine.

Winemaking Notes
A wet, but warm spring with a few mild frosts during late April and fewer than average heat spikes.
Near-record precipitation amounts during late June and early July brought increased disease pressure to the region.
The vintage will be remembered for the early rains in September and rapid cool down into October which challenged harvesting decisions.
The cool vintage came largely from substantially lower maximum temperatures while minimum temperatures were near average to slightly above average.
