95 Points | James Suckling - "A radically original Oregon dry Riesling! Intense wet stone character and great racy power on the sleek, yet compact and focused palate. Then comes an explosion of crushed rock minerality at long driving finish that must be tasted to be believed. From an east-facing site with stony volcanic soil. Limited production. Drink or hold."

This dry Riesling is an explosion of citrus, floral, green apple, and lemon drop candy with mouth-puckering acidity and a saline, ocean-water finish.
Sommelier

This Riesling is so bright and beautiful! Pair this with a trout salad with green apples, onions, and preserved lemon vinaigrette.
Culinary Director

Our Lone Star Riesling hails from a rather chilly site in southern Eola-Amity Hills that allows this wine to retain purity of fruit and terrific natural acidity. Bright and crisp, this wine effuses orange zest, lemon verbena and hints of beeswax. On the palate, this wine consistently shows off heaps of Meyer lemon and saline minerality.

Winemaking Notes
Rain events at the beginning of bloom diminished yields, and a dry summer was punctuated with unprecedented heatwaves. The timing worked in our favor since the heat happened pre-veraison, and the vines handled it well.
Harvest started in early September, but lower temperatures across the state allowed for a long and measured harvest season, with harvest extending into mid-October.
No disease, high sugars, balanced acids, and great flavors. 2021 will undoubtedly rank as one of the top Oregon vintages.
