2021 Sunset Ridge Pinot Noir
This wine is no longer available, but the 2019 Sunset Ridge Pinot Noir is.
An expressive and food-friendly Pinot Noir with bright acidity and grippy tannins. Notes of rose petals, herbs de Provence, and baking spices compliment the bright notes of red fruit and cherry cola.
Comprised of pinot noir grapes from Sunset Ridge vineyard located in the Eola-Amity Hills. The vines were planted in 1997 in marine sedimentary-hazelair, rickreall, and bellpine soil. Sunset Ridge vineyard is farmed sustainably.
These pinot noir grapes are comprised of 5 clone types: 113, 115, 777, 667, and Pommard.

Winemaking Notes
Rain events at the beginning of bloom diminished yields, and a dry summer was punctuated with unprecedented heatwaves. The timing worked in our favor since the heat happened pre-veraison, and the vines handled it well.
Harvest started in early September, but lower temperatures across the state allowed for a long and measured harvest season, with harvest extending into mid-October.
No disease, high sugars, balanced acids, and great flavors. 2021 will undoubtedly rank as one of the top Oregon vintages.
