2025 Brooks University Seminars

Give the wine lover in your life the gift of knowledge with a six or twelve-class pack of Brooks University seminars! These fun and educational seminars will cover various topics like soil, varietals, vintages, and more! All attendees will be invited to an exclusive “graduation” celebration at the end of the year. 

Classes will be in session on the first Saturday of every month in 2025 from 10 AM to 11:30 AM and will include wine and small bites. Here’s the schedule:

  • January 4th – Wine Tasting 101 – An aromatic journey and blind tasting basics
  • February 1st – Pinot Noir AVAs – A deep dive through the top Oregon AVAs that grow Pinot Noir
  • March 1st – Estate Vineyard Through the years, vertical assessment
  • April 5th – The spectrum of Riesling – one vintage, several styles
  • May 3rd – Sparkling wine – production and personalities
  • June 7th – Wine and food pairings with Brooks Culinary Manager, Matt Garland
  • July 5th – Organic viticulture and biodynamics with Brooks’ Gardener, Shannon Mayhew
  • August 2nd – Janus Pinot Noir – deep dive across vintages with Brooks’ Winemaker, Claire Jarreau
  • September 6th – Clonal selection side by side – Vineyard samples of grapes
  • October 4th – Harvest and how wine is made at Brooks
  • November 1st – Wines of the Columbia Gorge – Terue Flight with Brooks’ Winemaker Emeritus, Chris Williams
  • December 6th – Legends of Riesling – Atlas of Riesling featuring wines from Australia, Germany, Oregon, and France
  • December 6th (after class) – Graduation party
